Morgantown is the second largest city in West Virginia and is located right next to the state capital of Charleston. The best thing about this town is that it has everything that you could possibly need while you are on a vacation or visiting for business purposes, and it’s also located just five miles from the Appalachian Mountains, providing a wonderfully tranquil atmosphere. This small mountain town actually started out as a Revolutionary War battlefield and later evolved into a beautiful historic town that is still listed on the National Register of Historic Places. One of the things to do in Morgantown WV is enjoying the Blue Ridge Mountains if you are going on a hiking adventure there.

If you want to enjoy some horseshoes, go horseback riding, or go to the shooting range for some target practice then you should plan to visit the Silverton Park with the staff at the range. The first few times I came here I almost didn’t make it out of the woods because I was so afraid I would run into someone or something and the place was so quiet. But after a few hours I finally saw the park’s entrance and realized that I was wrong about the quietness of the place. There are still some trees in the area where there are not a lot of people around, but if you look hard enough you can still hear the sound of a few birds chirping nearby. There are many things to do in Morgantown, and there are also many things to see in the surrounding area as well.
