Explore Microdosing

Many people are beginning to experiment with microdosing — the practice of taking small doses of psychedelic substances on a regular basis for cognitive enhancement and personal growth. This trend has been fueled by news coverage, online communities, and anecdotal reports that suggest microdosing can help with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health conditions.

Explore Microdosing is a platform for sharing and discussing information about the microdosing phenomenon. It offers a safe space for discussions about the benefits and risks of this new practice, with the goal of helping people navigate the challenges involved in starting to microdose and establishing a healthy routine. We also provide educational content and resources about the psychedelic experience, which helps people make more informed decisions before embarking on their own microdosing journey.

Microdose Mushrooms vs. Full Dose: What’s the Difference?

In our ongoing research, we aim to investigate the effects of psilocybe cubensis microdosing on conscious perception using behavioral tasks like the backward masking paradigm (for visual perception) and the Global-Local task combined with ERP analysis (for auditory perception). Additionally, we are investigating the impact of psilocybe cubensis on cognition by conducting an experimental study with participants who are naive to microdosing, in order to compare their experiences with those of more experienced microdosers.

Our preliminary findings suggest that naive microdosers experience positive changes in their mood and concentration, but also report increased levels of neuroticism. On the other hand, more experienced microdosers experience decreased levels of neuroticism. We suggest that this may be because more experienced users have learned to better integrate their emotional insights, and thus are less prone to negative emotions.
