With the blazer ev battery size Chevrolet aims to grab a share of the growing battery-electric SUV market. This is the third such vehicle to launch this year under the company’s Ultium suite of EV hardware and software, following the middle CUV Equinox EV and the workmanlike Silverado pickup. SUVs make up a 64-percent slice of the market, so Chevy wants to convert current Equinox and Blazer gasoline drivers as well as those driving rivals such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E and Hyundai Ioniq 5 who want to switch to an electric model.
Blazer EV Battery Size: Key Specifications
The blazer ev offers an impressive number of trims and configurations, including front-wheel drive 2LT models with dual motors that can return a GM-estimated 293 miles per charge and all-wheel drive RS and upcoming pAWD RS models with the larger 105 kWh battery. This large battery also delivers exceptional acceleration, with the LS AWD model able to sprint to 60 in less than four seconds and the pAWD RS hitting 0-60 in under five.
Those who choose the more affordable 2LT will spend $56,595 with destination charges included, and the build-your-own tool currently lists the more expensive RS at $61,995. A pair of mandatory packages that include adaptive cruise control, a head-up display and surround view camera balloon that price even further. Chevy’s EVs all qualify for the $7,500 US federal EV tax credit and will be offered with 8 years/100,000 miles of new car warranty coverage that includes the battery.
